About Officiant Molly Lyons 


Molly Lyons is a theatre artist who began performing ceremonies at the request of two dear friends and now has a passion for collaborating with couples to create unique ceremonies. 


It's a long, lovely romantic story, really, of my first wedding ceremony, but I'll give you the nutshell version.  I cast two actors, she from Vancouver BC and he from Seattle WA, opposite each other in a production I was directing .... They met, they created great art together, they fell in love, they decided to get married.  They wanted me to perform their ceremony but, because it involved international borders, I needed a license.  I became an ordained minister with Universal Life Church and the three of us created a ceremony that was unique and romantic.  They told some actor friends and so on.  My Mom calls me "the actor pastor" but, of course, you don't need to be in the theatre for me to perform your ceremony. 

I do have a passion for couples feeling free to express themselves, however, as simply or grandiosely as they desire! 

 

Again, I am an ordained minister with Universal Life Church and am licensed to perform ceremonies in Washington state as well as most of the United States and provinces of Canada.
